 |
11/30 -- The due date for homework 8 has been changed to Fri, Dec. 4. You will need to turn your sets into Cheryl Geer's office by 5pm. Due to the holiday break and change in due date, I will be holding office hours on Thu, Dec. 3 from 8-9pm at the usual location.

11/6 -- Due to planned absences for Prof. Brennen, the following classes will be CANCELED:
Thu, Nov. 19; class canceled
Tue, Nov. 24; class canceled
and of course there will be no class on Thanksgiving, Thu Nov. 26. The first MAKE-UP has been scheduled for NEXT Friday:
Fri, Nov. 13; make-up class, 12noon-1.30pm
and then, perhaps another make-up at a later date. I do not know what impact this will have on the homework schedule, but the dates in the post below may no longer apply.

10/26 -- In addition to the regular classes this week, a make-up class is scheduled on Friday, 12noon-1.30pm in 206 Thomas. This was the time slot that adversely effected the fewest members of the class. Bear in mind also that the class will be videotaped; we will make an effort to get it online as soon as possible for those who have a conflict at this time. The homework schedule has been adjusted accordingly - see the additional info below.
Homework 4 - due date Oct. 29
Midterm handed out on Oct. 29 - due Nov. 2, by 5pm
Homework 5 - handed out Nov. 3 - due Nov. 10
Homework 6 - handed out Nov. 10 - due Nov. 17
Homework 7 - handed out Nov. 17 - due Nov. 24
Homework 8 - Handed out Nov. 24 - due Dec. 3

10/25 -- Office hours will change this week. The location will remain 306 Thomas. Nick will host 1-3pm on Sunday (Oct. 25) afternoon, and I will be there 8-9pm as usual. The Monday hours will be moved to Wednesday (Oct. 28) 8-9pm as a result of the new due date for hw4. Please make a note of this change. WE WILL NOT BE THERE TO HELP ON MONDAY NIGHT. |

10/22 -- Class canceled today. A date and time for a make-up class will be announced here and via email to the class. The due date for hw4 has been pushed back to Thu, Oct. 29. |

10/6 -- Please turn in a hard copy of your problem set on the day it is due. |

10/5 -- If you need after-hours access to Thomas for office hours, go talk to the ME department administrator, Chris Silva, in 208 Thomas. She should be able to get you set up. She will definitely need your UID number and may or may not need your actual ID card. PLEASE DO NOT PROP THE DOORS OPEN. I made the mistake of doing this, thinking it was okay, but I have since been scolded. Propping the doors open trips an alarm and also jeopardizes the safety of people and belongings inside Thomas late at night. |
