Radiance: The Passion of Marie Curie
By Alan Alda
Directed by Kathryn Bikle
Radiance illuminates a little known period between Marie Curie's first Nobel Prize and her second, a time of great scientific achievement and vivid personal struggle. After her beloved husband Pierre dies, Curie falls into a deep depression. But she continues her single-minded devotion to her work and becomes passionately involved in an affair with Paul Langevin, a married physicist. Rejected by the French press when the liaison becomes public, Curie is left to define her place in society, and history, on her own terms.
RADIANCE: THE PASSION OF MARIE CURIE is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.
