This focal plane shows more of the structure of the distal SNa branches. The anterior branch can be seen growing out between muscles 22 and 23, to reach muscle 24. The posterior branch extends distally along the anterior edge of muscle 8, and also extends a side branch onto muscle 5 (see previous focal plane for visualization of muscle 5 fiber). The bifurcation and proximal SNa are most easily seen in the next focal plane. The segment seen in the previous focal plane is the right-hand segment here.
