TACIT's Winter Production of

Pasadena Babalon

The World of Jack Parsons

by George Morgan

Auditions:
Wednesday, December 2, 7-11pm

Saturday, December 5, 10am-2pm

Ramo Auditorium

Auditions for world premiere of Pasadena Babalon (BOOM!) consist of improvisatory workshops based on characters from the play.
Prepare for workshop/auditions by choosing one or more of the characters from the dramatis personae. Prepare to dramatize one or more of the characters from The World of Jack Parsons (WJP) in improvised scenarios based on George Morgan’s script. Many of these characters based on “real-life” people during the time period 1920s until Parson’s death in 1952. The goal is to create stage characters with specific histories and explore the “lived relation to the real” in the World of JP. Some of the characters might be fictional - attempt to create an indelible stage image of him or her to present back in improvised scenes with others.
If you are interested in smaller parts, extra players are needed for: chanting OTO devotees; late 40s early 50s Aerojet employees; military personnel; science fiction groups; madcap Parsonage house residents; 1940s CIT and JPL personel. Smaller singing and dancing roles available. Wear clothes you can move in. No high heels.

No one will be refused a role in play or tech team!

Rehearsals Begin January 5, 2010. The show runs February 19-27 2010.
