The Story

In Sonne, Alpha and Omega, friends since their days together in college, are hiking when they stumble upon a blasted landscape untouched by sunshine. The native inhabitants revere the absent sun as a god, and believe "he" will come back someday to deliver them from their present purgatorial state. They welcome Alpha and Omega as ones who "bring knowledge of the Sun." Both men find themselves drawn to the idea of staying: Omega, by the charms of Lilith, the only inhabitant to ever see the Sun; and Alpha, by the possibility of becoming a god.
