I enjoy traveling and explore different cultures around the world, below are some of the highlights of my travel.

South Pole

My research took me to the South Pole for few months every year during my grad school. I was part of the CMBand, a musical band consists of scientists, engineer and machinist. We ran ‘race around the world’ and half marathons at both the South Pole and McMurdo Station.

Nepal

I did a 16 days trekking trip in Nepal with Joan. We hiked to the Everest Base Camp through several high passes and glaciers. I saw the most amazing night sky I even seen in my life, with Mt. Everest in the background.

Mt. Kilimanjaro

I traveled to Tanzania after graduate school, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, safari tour around Serngeti National Park, and scuba dived in Zanzibar.

High Sierra

Locally we are surrounded by many wonderful mountains, I led multiple camping/backpacking trips in the High Sierra.
