This image clearly shows the difference in morphology
between the late 16 and early 17 SNbs. The SNb looks like a
growth cone and ends at the 6/13 junction, and it has not
yet extended its final branch to 12/13. The 6/7 synapse
(adjacent to the left end of the line indicating muscle 14)
is still short. Note also the expression of FasII at the
12/13 cleft. This expression is transient and characteristic
of a particular short period during mid-late stage 16; it
would be stronger a little earlier in development.
