Cetaceans near San Miguel

It is hard to spot whales and dolphins from the island itself because the fog always appears to be offshore. However the boat ride to and fro the island offers an excellent opportunity to see whales and dolphins. We spotted 1 California grey which was clearly lost since it should be in Alaska this time of the year, 1 blue whale and 5-6 humpback whales which werent shy about getting close - close enough to smell them !
