The Black Pearl -- "Pearl"

Pearl is my 1993 Yamaha Virago XV750. She's deep metalic gray, the color
of a black pearl, hence her name. She's my favorite toy, my pride and joy.
She's also my favorite prop for
photos.
In summer 1995 I took a 4-week trip around the States. Hopped on the
bike and headed out of town on Sunday, July 16 at 10pm to avoid the
heat in the Mojave Desert. Thus began a wonderful my summer adventure.
I rode 6300 miles, visiting 14 different states, the outgoing journey
culminating in crossing the Mississippi River into Wisconsin -- after a
day of sailing Lake Pepin in Lake City, Minnesota. Nice to be on such
a large body of water after all those heated plains!

- I work hard to keep in shape so I can be healthy and
so I can spend lots of time at the beach during summer.
