Flight Deck Dammage From Typhoon June 1945

Flight deck flattened down over her bow like the brim of a soft hat, the "Hornet" gets underway after the June 5th typhoon. Crewmen survey the damage. Though unable to launch planes in normal fasion, the carrier backed into the wind to get search planes aloft to aid in rounding up other ships in the group after the storm.
