Assistant Professor in Computational Physics (PR006/96)
The Hong Kong Baptist University is a government-funded institution of
higher education offering undergraduate & postgraduate courses. The
Department of Physics offers programs leading to BSc, MPhil and PhD
degrees. The main areas of research in the Department are condensed
matter physics, optics and laser physics, statistical physics, nonlinear
dynamics and electronic instrumentation. Applications are now invited
for an Assistant Professor in computational physics commencing September
1996. Applicants should possess a PhD degree and have postdoctoral
experience. Preference will be given to candidates whose research
interests overlap with those in the Department. Depending on experience,
salary will be in the range of HK$454,200 - $758,700 p.a. (approx. US$1 =
HK$7.73) Initial appointment will normally be made on three-year contract
with 15% end-of-contract gratuity. Generous benefits include leave,
