about ustc's mail serve

I tried to send email to the address mailer@ustc.ac.cn and the 7th
dept.'s machine root@ms.ess.ustc.ac.cn, but for some reason, the messages
can not be delivered. Our system can find these two address, but can not
finger them. I am wondering if there are somebody successfully send mail
to these two address? Thanks.
