Hi, everyone,

The followings are two messages from my classmate (USTC817) Zhang Jie who
is in MIT right now. He is looking for volunteers to host a meeting for a
business delegation from Harbin City. If you want to help, please e-mail to me
at zhui@ellis.uchicago.edu.
Thank you very much.

Message 1
An official delegation of Harbin City Government will
visit US in early May. They bring business and trade
opportunity, and wish to have a meeting in Chicago with
local business companies. Do you know if there are any
Chinese organization in that area (Chicago) who can host
this event? I am hosting one in Boston, and Wen Yuankai
will do another on in NY. I am looking ofr volunteer in
Chicago and Seeatle. Delegation will pay their own cost,
but need help from local Chinese community. They have
five people in total. Let me know if you have any idea.
I also look for phone number of Chinese counselor consulate
in Chicago, if you can find it, please also let me know.
Thanks very much.
-Jie

Message 2
Thanks for your quick reply. All these organizations sound right,
see if y they like to host. I think primarily 3 jobs are involved,
first, reserve hotel rooms accroding to their standard, $50 per day
for one person, 5 people. Secondly, inform some companies about the
meeting and invite them to attend (mainly oversea Chinese business,
from previous experience). Thirdly, find a meeting room, the meeting
may take 1.5 hrs. If any organization likes to host this event,
please let me know how to reach the person who is in charge. They
will come to New York on May 10, 95, and there is a 10-day window for
their tsaying in the US.
If you have a fax number, let me know, I can give you a brief message
from this delegation (in Chinese).
Thanks for your help.
