It is reported that Professor Zhu Qingshi (maybe a wrong spelling for his
name, also a USTC alumni) of USTC
has been awarded the Thompson Prize for 1995 for his contributions in the
field of Spectrum Chemistry (?). While being proud of Professor Zhu's
achievement and international recognition, I'm very curious about what
The Thompson Prize is about. Can somebody who is a Chemistry expert on
