Numerical Solution of the heat equation obtained by the finite
element method. It is direct application of linear algebra.
The bottom left corner is an image of 500x500 pixels. It is
represented by a triple of matrices of size 500, one for each
primary color. By thowing away the smallest eigenvalues
of these matrices, we obtain a compressed version of the image.
In these 4 images, we keep 10, 25, 50 and 500 eivenvalues.
