In 2008, a group of students, with help from the Moore-Hufstedler Fund for student life, the Caltech sustainability office, the Caltech Y, and the Caltech Facilities management department, started a community garden at the SW corner of Holliston Ave and E Del Mar Blvd.  The garden is shared by grads, undergrads, postdocs, and staff in both individual and shared plots.  With the help of the MHF, the garden is equipped with tools, supplies, and automatic irrigation. 

We divide the year into two planting seasons: spring and winter.  Generally, the spring planting season starts in late March/early April, and the winter season begins in late September/early October.
