Research:
Target
of my research is to understand how flies maintain lateral stability of
flight; that is to understand how flies maintain transversal stability in
horizontal flight when a gust of wind is applied from lateral direction.
As the first step towards the aim, I am measuring what amount of side
force fly generates when it flies in lateral direction.
