Research:
My main research interest is the fluid mechanics of flapping
flight. I am currently studying the steady and unsteady
mechanisms involved in aerodynamic force generation at moderate
Reynolds numbers using a dynamically scaled robotic model.
I am also interested in biological flight control systems,
and the construction of novel scientific devices (such as
robotic model insects, flight tracking systems, etc) for
studying such systems.
