I was born in FuZhou city (FuJian Province) in China.
When I was 5 years old, my parents, my big brother and I moved to HangZhou city (ZheJiang Province) named as "paradise" in China. This ancient capital city is well known by the unique resort - West Lake, the world renowned silk and unforgettable LongJing tea. I spent my younger years there with so much joy and happiness. I went to the Hangzhou Xuejun primary school, Hangzhou Xuejun middle school.
After that I went to the University of Science of Technology of China (USTC) located in Hefei, a place where a famous ancient war in China took place. Now the city is becoming a modern high tech metropolis and USTC, one of the top universities in China plays an important role in it. I got my BS and later my MS in Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering. When I recall the time at USTC, I always wonder the fancy of the destiny.
Currently, I am a graduate student in Electrical Engineering at Caltech, doing research related to micro-fluidics, photonic crystal laser using micro and nano fabrication techniques. I am working with Professor Axel Scherer. He is a very cool person and very nice. Please visit the Nanofrabrication Lab for more information. |
