About me
I am an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at California Institute of Technology and a Five-Year Fellow of the American Institute of Mathematics. I got my BS and MS degrees in mathematics from Peking University in 2001 and 2003, and my Ph.D. degree from Princeton University in 2007. After graduation, I spent one year at Columbia University as an adjunct assistant professor and one year at MIT as a CLE Moore Instructor.
Research
My research interests include three dimensional topology and knot theory, specifically Heegaard Floer homology and its applications.
More
information about my research can be found in my Curriculum
Vitae. My research papers are available here.
Seminars
I
coorganize a joint LA
Topology Seminar (LaToP) with Francis
Bonahon and Ko Honda of USC
and Ciprian Manolescu of UCLA.
I also
organize a reading seminar on Heegaard Floer
homology and related topics.
I may
also attend the following seminars:
Geometry and
Topology Seminar at Caltech
Physics and Geometry
Seminar at Caltech
Graduate Student

Teaching
I teach Ma 151b in Winter 2012.
