Nike plans to focus more on the women's market by manufacturing apparel specifically designed for women. The company has been working with designers to enhance its women's product line and has assigned 26 salespersons to the project. Nike, working with an undergarment manufacturer, is aiming to develop a sports bra which will be offered in 50-75 concept stores in the US by summer 1999. Currently, Nike's women's sector accounts for 10% of its business.
