Nike Inc (Beaverton, OR) is running 4 TV ads using a tennis theme to sell its products. The ads, created by Wieden & Kennedy, are designed to be entertaining, but different enough to attract the viewers' attention. One ad (since pulled) shows the players, line judges, ball retrievers and others dropping dead on the court ending with the line 'Sudden death tie breakers. Another cool thing about tennis.' Another ad shows a man trying unsuccessfully to return a picture of Pete Sampras at a frame store ending with the line 'Unreturnable serves.' A third ad focuses on the 4 major tennis championships, with the visual pun of the '4 majors' seen as 4 men dressed like majors playing a game of tennis.
