The company designs and sells shoes for just about every sport, including baseball, basketball, football, volleyball, cheerleading, and wrestling. NIKE also sells casual shoes and a line of athletic wear, including caps, running clothes, shirts, shorts, and equipment, such as hockey sticks, skates, and timepieces. In addition, it operates NIKETOWN shoe and sportswear stores in several cities, including Boston, New York, and Seattle. NIKE sells its products in approximately 110 countries. Chairman and CEO Phil Knight owns about 34% of the company.
