Women student/post-doc/faculty lunches
Monthly lunches with faculty are held in small groups and require an rsvp to WEST. These lunches are designed to provide women undergrads, graduate students, and postdocs with the opportunity to interact with women faculty members in an intimate and non-threatening setting. Past dialogues have encompassed such topics as picking a scientific question to address, starting out as a new faculty member, dealing with low female to male ratios in the lab, and balancing family and research. Lunches are publicized by flyers posted around campus. If you wish to participate in a lunch, please let us know; we can email you with info about the next upcoming lunch.
