Methods of theta correspondence for Bessel and Fourier-Jacobi models

Dipendra Prasad (Tata Institute, visiting UCSD)

Abstract

Theta correspondence is a powerful tool for navigating between representations of various classical groups. In a recent work, Gan and Takeda have used it to prove the Local Langlands correspondence for GSp(4). We use theta correspondence to prove certain results about Bessel and Fourier-Jacobi models.
