Hitchin fibration and fundamental lemma

Abstract

I will explain how the fundametal lemma is related to certain statement about the support of simple perverse sheaves occuring in the decomposition of cohomology of Hitchin fibration. Time permitting, I will outline the proof of this statement about the support.
