Collaborator
Tatyana received her B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is currently employed as a signal processing engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. At the Gradinaru Lab, she collaborates on data analysis, machine learning, and is getting hands-on experience in benchwork and biology. In particular, she is helping out with the AAV targeted evolution project and on image processing for light sheet fluorescence microscopy data. Her interest is in understanding the physics and chemistry driving the complicated networks in the brain, as well as developing bio compatible interfaces for in vivo regulation of neural circuits. She will be applying to grad schools in Fall of 2016.
Collaborator
David received his BS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan in 2014. Before collaborating with the Gradinaru Lab, he has been working in Richard Andersen's lab at Caltech doing data analysis for single-neuron electrical recordings in implanted human subjects, and developing a framework for controlling a robotic arm. He is currently a software engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the AI group and works on planning and decision-making algorithms for autonomous systems. In the Gradinaru Lab, he is advising on applying automation technology to biological applications, such as image processing for big data imaging and on machine learning for AAV targeted evolution.
