I was born and brought up in the Western Indian state of Goa, an old Portuguese colony famous for its beaches, churches and a laid-back attitude. For my higher schooling and undergrad, we moved to Bombay, where we've been ever since. I received a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay in 2005 and in the same year, I joined the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena for a PhD. Here, I work in Professor Axel Scherer's Nanofabrication group.
