Because we know it, we are not an accident:
chance, redeemed returns to order.
Tied to the earth and to time,
a light and weightless ether,
thought supports the worlds and their weight,...

What, where, who, when, and how?

I am currently beginning a new position as an assistant professor of physics at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, CA. My main web page will be relocated to Harvey Mudd in the near future.
From 2003-2006, I was the Project Coordinator for CHICOS, the California HIgh school Cosmic ray ObServatory, based at the California Institute of Technology.

My graduate work took place in the quantum optics group at Caltech; my research there involved experimental control of simple quantum systems. (Wanna watch an older movie of our atom trap falling?)

I'm also the mother of twins Miriam and Simon Moore. Their online gallery is more than a year out of date right now, but it is linked below -- or stop right here for a few photos from their first birthday party.
