Profile

About Me

I am currently a PhD candidate in the department of Electrcal Engineering at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, California. I grew up in Vijayawada, India and graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology (Kanpur) in June 2007, with a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. Funded by an Atwood fellowship, I joined the MS/PhD program at Caltech. I received M.S in Electrical Engineering in June 2008 and am presently pursuing doctoral studies under the guidance of Prof. Babak Hassibi. I expect to graduate in June 2012.

Research Interests

My research interests broadly lie in the areas of control, signal processing, and communications. Recent breakthroughs in cheap sensing and computing, and the ubiquity of communication resources have given rise to exciting new possibilities of large scale distributed systems. My research is motivated by such possibilities especially in the context of networked control systems, some instances of which include the smart grid, networked city services and intelligent highway systems.
