Karen Kähler is delighted to be appearing in her eighth TACIT production. Her previous TACIT shows include Richard III (Lady Anne), The Trojan Women (Kassandra), The Merchant of Venice (Portia), and Hedda Gabler (in the title role). Among her other favorite roles are Sarah in Translations (Celtic Arts Center/An Claidheamh Soluis), Betty in Sure Thing (Off Ramp Theatre), and Medea (LA Greekfest 99). She once portrayed a deadly sin, and has been cast as a madwoman with distressing frequency. Ms. Kähler is a member of the Renaissance dance company Danzando, as well as a prizewinning Irish stepdancer. In her spare time, she earns a living as a seismic analyst at Caltech's Seismological Laboratory. When nobody's looking, she practices her hard-shoe jig in the Telemetry Room. | ||||||||||||||||||
