I study renormalization theory, mostly from a geometric and combinatoric point of view. The tools I use have applications to other fields such as number theory and non-commutative geometry. When such overlaps happen, I try to solve problems there as well.Papers:

The Baltimore Community School is a great organization helping kids in a tough neighborhood get GEDs and go onto college. The guy who runs is was a neighbor of mine when I lived in Baltimore.
Prerona (Inspiration) is a grassroots women's organization based in a village in the Ganges delta. It gives women legal aid and a support group to turn to. Run by a close friend of mine in Kolkata.
The MIT Mystery Hunt is an AWESOME annual puzzle contest. I used to go every year, but now I'm not sure it's worth the cross country flight. So I play remotely. If you are interested, and free over MLK weekend, let me know.
