| Dear Graduate Student: |
This
survey will gauge the opinions of Caltech graduate students on a
range of topics impacting their quality of life. As graduate students
ourselves, we realize your time is very valuable; however, we believe
your opinions are even more valuable. Your participation in
this survey should require 10 to 20 minutes. Everyone completing
the survey will receive:
|
| |
- A
$3 gift certificate to the Red Door
- An opportunity
to enter a random drawing for $250 cash and
multiple other prizes
- Our commitment
to strict confidentiality
- A future
voice in administrative decisions
- The satisfaction
of knowing they are helping current and future grad students
|
| |
This survey has been
designed and will be administered and analyzed by a joint committee
of graduate students from the Graduate Student Council (GSC) and Women
in Engineering, Science and Technology (WEST). Data collected from
this survey will be strictly confidential. |
| |
- Responses will
be automatically removed to a secure server.
- Data analysis
will not be performed in any manner in which a survey respondent
might be identified by demographic data.
- The Steering
Committee members of GSC and WEST will retain the sole ownership
of all raw data.
- Access to raw
data will be tightly restricted to only those individuals directly
involved in data analysis.
- For more information
on our confidentiality policy, click
here.
|
| |
| A final
report on the survey results will be made public during the coming
school year
and will be available for download at http://www.its.caltech.edu/~survey/results.html.
The GSC and WEST Steering Committees plan to present our findings to
the
graduate
student
body,
the Faculty
Board, the President’s Office, and Student Affairs. We anticipate
that this survey might also generate interest beyond the Caltech community. |
| |
| Thank you for your
participation! If you have any questions or concerns, contact any of
the members of the joint survey committee. |

Members of the Caltech community are bound to abide by the Honor System,
