at Rifle, CO, 2004

on Longs Peak, RMNP, CO, 2001

Ryan Young

The lady-killer, who is recently married.  In his third year at Colorado School of Mines, majoring in engineering (mechanical?).  Ran cross-country in high school and for one year in college (and rather good at it).  Bad luck with knees.  Attended high school in Boulder, lived in Pinecliffe. I regret to announce that Ryan died in an accident, Dec. 6, 2005. We all miss him.

Jacob Fuerst

The Marine who got back from a six-week tour in Iraq on Sept. 24th, '04 and left the service in May '05.  Ran cross-country in high school.  Attended high school in Boulder.  Now working on his climbing skills and muscle tone.

John didn't start climbing until college, but quickly decided he liked it.  He's always on a weird schedule 'cause he's at Colorado College in Colorado Springs.  Attended high school in Boulder.

Booth Haley

Raised in Seattle and a menace to conservatives everywhere.  He has no sense because he claims Washington is a better state than Colorado.  Recently charged by the feds for stealing a peregrine falcon egg, which he is in fact guilty of.  Graduated from Wesleyan in '05 with a degree in East-Asian studies.  Attended high school in Mercer Island, WA.  Steals peregrine falcon eggs.

Bryan Thuggin' Bissell

The all-NESCAC XC runner is as comfortable on top of mountains as he is in a beer mile - that is, not very.  "I like to do top-roped 5.9s and prefer sport climbing if at all possible.  I haven't climbed since 2001, but considered joining Wesleyan climbing club to pick up chicks.  Lived in Denver once.  Attended high school in Tacoma, WA.  Government major."  Most of that is true.

on Mt. Johnstone, Ketchum, Idaho, 2004

on Strawberry Peak, CA Feb, 2006

Emil Coyajee

He claims that he's short for a Dutchman (he's only about 6'4"), but nevertheless managed to find himself a wife. As of January 2007, he's finishing his PhD in Amsterdam. Favorite food: the margarita.

Joshua Tree, Nov., 2005

at New Jack City, CA Jan, 2006

Anna Coyajee - van Rietschoten

A bit lacking in common sense (she just got married) but always in good humor. Enjoys being fashionable and dancing the night away. Favorite food: cookies, with tea.

Sean Tulin

The emperor-for-life of the Caltech Alpine Club. When he's not swindling undergraduates in pullup contests or attempting to roll a joint, he enjoys mild sport climbing and stick-clipping.

People without pictures:

    John Cumalat

Clumsy and awkward don't begin to describe him, yet he could always beat me wrestling.  Survived more snow caves with me than anyone else.  At University of Colorado (at Boulder), graduating in December '05 in physics.
