Caltech Karate Club - Winter Special Training

2012 Caltech Winter Special Training

Date: March 2 -4 (Friday evening through Sunday)

Check-in: 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Friday March 2nd at Braun Gym, Caltech. Be on time! Late arrivals are not admitted to Special Training.

Location: Check-in: Braun Gymnasium, Caltech, 1200 E. California Blvd, Pasadena, CA. Practice: Polytechnic School Gymnasium, 1030 E. California Blvd, Pasadena, CA.

Driving Directons to Gyms: Refer to this map . From the intersection of Wilson and California, go south on Wilson for half a block. Braun Gym (check-in) is on your left (East side of Wilson). For the Polytechnic Gym (where practices will be held) go further south about another quarter block. The gym will be on your right. The Polytechnic Gym is located just north of the intersection of Wilson Ave and Cornell Road.

Registration: $150 fee covers the cost of facilities and a place to sleep on the gym floor, does not include meals. Make checks payable to "Caltech Karate Club". SKA membership dues must be current! Print the registration form online from http://ska.org/news/wp-content/uploads/st_form.pdf on the SKA web site. The registration form and check should be mailed to the following address with postmark prior to February 22, 2012. Late Registration Fee: $175, Cancellation Fee: $25, no exceptions.

First practice: 7:30 PM on Friday. Last practice: We expect to finish by 5:00 PM on Sunday.

Parking: Parking is allowed in all UNNAMED parking spots in the Caltech underground parking structure from Friday 4:30 PM onwards (over the weekend).

Guidelines: Lodging and food is the responsibility of the participant. Sleeping overnight on the gym floor is encouraged. Drink lots of fluids - it is very important to remain hydrated! Bring sleeping bag, drinks, food, etc. Here is a recommended list of items to bring.
