Norbert Schuch

Postdoctoral Researcher
California Institute of Technology
Institute for Quantum Information

I am a currently postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Quantum Information at the California Institute of Technology.
From March on, I will be joining the Institute for Quantum Information at RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany.  For my group at RWTH Aachen, I am looking for postdocs and PhD students interested in working at the interface of quantum information and quantum many-body physics.  More information can be found on my new website.
My research interests are at the interface between quantum information theory and quantum many-body physics:  On the one hand, I apply concepts from quantum information, in particular from entanglement theory, to better understand the physics of correlated quantum many-body systems;  on the other hand, I study the impact of quantum many-body phenomena on questions in quantum computation and quantum complexity theory.
