SCCUR Supporters
A great deal of effort is required to put together a conference of the magnitude of SCCUR each year, and more generally, to promote SCCUR’s high ideals of undergraduate research on a larger scale. No matter what your background or experience is, if you have an interest in undergraduate research or the broader vision of stimulating creative activity in undergraduate education, there are ways that you can help.
How Can I Support the Annual Conference?
If you are a student interested in pursuing undergraduate research, in the
midst of undergraduate research, or in the process of completing an undergraduate
research project, you can help simply by participating in SCCUR! For

If you are a faculty member actively involved or interested in undergraduate
research, you can help by becoming a mentor and encouraging your students to
present their research at professional conferences, including SCCUR.In
addition, if you are interested in assisting conference staff by reading abstracts,
overseeing registration, moderating conference sessions, organizing a round-table
discussion, etc., please see the “Faculty
Mentors” page on this site.
Whether you are a student, faculty member, or neither, you can help the Annual
Conference to be a success simply with your presence at the conference, and by
encouraging involvement by other interested parties you interact with throughout
the year.Each person who attends the conference is a valuable supporter
of SCCUR and undergraduate research. By interacting with faculty and students
about their research and their presentations, you demonstrate that the work they
have done is important, meaningful, and deserving of attention.A question
you ask or a conversation you have with a conference participant has the power
to open doors of inquiry and inspire students and their mentors for months or
perhaps even years to come.
