From Ranga-Ram Chary 21 Dec 2015 These are NSIDE=32 HEALPix maps with the SMICA-derived CMB and ISM removed and sources/Galactic plane masked. They have been constructed from Planck Public data release 2 full-mission maps. Only the Planck frequencies at 100, 143, 217 and 353 GHz are provided since those are the most relevant. The maps still have residual synchrotron/free-free in them as described in the paper. mapism_ns32.fits is constructed from the source masked 857 GHz map. All maps are in MJy/sr units. For anomalously bright pixels, look for pixels which meet the following conditions: (SNR143>5 OR SNR353>5) AND (MAPISM<4) and (MAP143-SIG143>MAP100+SIG100) and (MAP143-SIG143>MAP217+SIG217) Then, fit the residual synchrotron/free-free emission at those locations. We caution that any 353 GHz excess that you may find is due to residual Galactic interstellar medium emission.
