Who lives at Prufrock?
Although Prufrock house is technically part of Caltech Graduate
Housing,
it's not part of the annual housing lottery. There are 4 bedrooms,
and usually 4-6 graduate students occupy the house. All of the residents
are also members of the eating group.
When do members meet?
Prufrock members normally meet for dinner at 6:30pm Monday-Thursday during
the academic year. Each of these days, one person cooks for the rest of the
group.
Where do members meet?
Prufrock is located on the west side of the Caltech campus, at 373 S.
Wilson Avenue. We're right across from the fabulous Beckman Institute
building. Our house is about 60 years older than this young whipper-snapper.
How can I join?
Prufrock is open to anyone in the Caltech community. Historically, it has
been composed of 10-15 graduate students, postdocs and staff. If you might
be interested in joining Prufrock, speak to a current member about coming to
a sample dinner. If everything works out, you may eventually be invited to
join the group.
