Director's Note

If a simple pill could make you happier at work, and in life in general... would you take it? In RX we follow the journey of Meena, Managing Editor, Piggeries of American Cattle & Swine Magazine, as she participates in a drug trial for the new drug Thriveon. Meena has suffered severe work depression for some time when she gets the chance to participate in the drug trial for Thriveon. What happens when the doctor, Phil, gets more and more interested in his patient who's in the drug trial? The playwright, Kate Fodor, a 2013 Guggenheim fellow in playwriting, treats us to a "winning combination of light satire and romance" (New York Times) in this romantic comedy where we see the powers of drugs, love and work oppression/depression interact.

Rx is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.
