Upgrading to Java 1.1

To ensure that the applets on this site are as bug-free as possible, all applets for the Phys 1bc website require Java 1.1 or later. Most browsers such as Netscape 4.0, do not support the newest version of Java. The applet below will tell you what version of Java is installed on your browser, or if you have Java at all.

No Java Installed

To run these applets you need one of the following: Internet Explorer 4.01 (Mac PC Unix) Netscape Navigator 4.05 (PC Only) Netscape Navigator 4.5 (PC Unix)
At the moment, the Macintosh only supports Java through IE 4.01 and through the Sun Java plugin.
