I am an astronomer and instrument developer in the Space Astrophysics Laboratory at Caltech.  My research interests include photon counting detectors, optical design, and hardware development for space flight.  I am currently the Project Scientist and lead designer for the Keck Cosmic Web Imager, a new integral field spectrograph for the W. M. Keck Observatory in Hawaii.
