About the ClubCreated in 1997, and restarted in spring of 2003, the Caltech Orienteering Club is for people interested in the sport of orienteering. We organize a car pool approximately once a month to a nearby orienteering event in Southern California. Every member of Caltech community is welcome to join our club. Novices are very welcome to come and try their hand at this challenging sport - there are always beginner categories at each event and our members would be happy to introduce you to orienteering. We have a mailing list to which you can subscribe at https://utils.its.caltech.edu/mailman/listinfo/oclub . You can also use this same link if you decided to quit the club for some reason. Club Officers:
Luigi Perotti: President             Ann Marie Cody: Treasurer
Reimbursement policy We will try to defray the costs of competing as much as our funding allows. If it is not possible to cover all expenses, each club member would be responsible for paying what the club cannot (usually not more than 5 or 10$). We go in private cars and take the minimum necessary number of cars (4 or 5 people per vehicle). Individuals are free to drive themselves, but those who do not meet at the specified location for carpooling won't be reimbursed for park entrance fees (gas cost should instead be split among people in each car). However, reimbursement is available only to Caltech students, faculty and alumni. This is not to exclude out-of-Caltech people from the club, but opening of finances to non-Caltech members would result in the ending of the financial support from Caltech.
We are also supported by the LA Orienteering Club
