Double-labeling with anti-ROMK1/FITC and anti-calbindin/rhodamine
images are available here in low power .
The top image shows a cerebellar leaflet expressing a good deal of
ROMK1; the expressing cells appear normal and have extensive arborizations
(this is the green).
The lower image shows the area around the 4th ventricle. Many
cells clearly express ROMK1, but it isn't clear whether these are normal
cells for this region or whether they are cells that
have failed to migrate properly.
There are some high power images here. These show Purkinje cells expressing ROMK1 that are apparently fully normal in shape, size, arborization, and orientation. There appear to be some interneurons stained green as well.
Single labeling with anti-ROMK1/Cy-3 images are here. Again, Purkinje cells seem normal; some granule cells are infected as well.
Controls injected with GFP virus only, stained
for anti-calbindin and anti-GFP. The slightly yellowish cells are double-labeled.
