Policy on Collaborations and Late Submissions

Course grade decomposition:

HW: 40%, Midterm: 20%, Final: 40%

The students are welcome and encouraged to discuss among themselves the subject matter of the course.

The students are also encouraged to attend TA and office hours and bring up any questions they may have regarding the homework problems or the material covered in the course. Should the students be unable to attend the TA or office hours, they are welcome to contact a TA or the instructor directly and set up individual appointments.

The students must complete the homework problems entirely by themselves. They may discuss the subject matter of the problems and compare final answers, but must work on the problems independently.

The students must complete the examinations entirely by themselves within the allocated time in one sitting. No discussion of problems, subject matter or answers is permitted. The use of the assigned text-book and class notes is permitted, but no other material may be consulted.

No late homeworks or examinations will be accepted except in the case of genuine documented emergencies. Exemptions from this rule must be approved by the instructor at least one week before the due date.

  Master Schedule ME 35a

Class,

Contrary to the course website, the final exam will be a take-home, similar to the midterm.

It will available for pick-up on Monday(12/6) at 5pm from the box outside Prof. Andrade's office in the Thomas building, and due on Tuesday(12/7) at 5pm.

Additionally, we will still have the scheduled office hours on Monday, for any overall questions related to the course, but no questions related to the final exam can be asked.

Good luck with all of your exams!
