Policy on Collaborations and Late Submissions

bullet

Course grade decomposition:

Grades: HW 50%, Final project 50%

bullet Homework collaboration:  The students are welcome to discuss the homework problems with each other as well as with the teaching assistants. However, the work being submitted should reflect their own work and understanding of the problem.
bullet Project:  Students will work in groups of two on a project during the term.   Projects may range from literature survey to original research.  A one page proposal is due on 24 April 2014, a written report is due on 02 June 2014 and a final half hour presentation during exam week.
bullet Late submission: No late homeworks will be accepted except in the case of genuine documented emergencies. Exemptions from this rule must be approved by the instructor at least one week before the due date.
