misspellings and typographical errors
in the fourth edition our book.
We take full responsiblity for these errors,
and we apologize
for them.

in cross-references, mathematics,
science and engineering.
We have not listed misspellings
and typesetting errors that
the reader will recognize easily, or may not
care about.
Please mark the following changes in your
copy of the fourth edition.
page 54 -- Problem 1.3.a
page 142 -- Problem 3.4
"for bcc crystals the sum h+k+l must be an even integer" (not h+h+l)
"Figure 3.5a" should be changed to "Figure 3.6a".
