Yes, I do have some friends.

Here's a picture of a bunch of us in 1994 after our Iron Ring Ceremony. If you know Canadian engineers, ask them what that means. It's a pretty horrible scan. I'll have to find time to redo that picture one of these days... Anyway, those are (left to right) myself, Todd, Regina, Camille, Nick and Stan. If I was more keen, I'd make those links to email address... but I'm too lazy to look up those email addresses

• Keith Ajmani Dude - Surfs the web for a living... what a job, eh? But he's cool, he put me up in his apartment when I visited Toronto last year.
• Sam Roweis - One of seemingly many Canadians here at Caltech. In the Computation and Neural Systems department here and that's about all I know about his work.
• Ross Rock - computer geek and proud of it? Ross is cool anyway. Works for Ontario Hydro doing some stuff with nuclear power plants. It's scary the number of people I know who work with nuclear power.
• Li Chang - just read the page. Faster than me writing anything here.
• Steven Alie - cool friend of mine that I haven't talked to in many years.
• Winston Pun - Also here at Caltech, was in my class in Toronto as well.
• There are others but I'm too lazy right now to type them all in.

Work/Research related people at Caltech:

• Joyce Wong - Hi! no web page yet.
• Dan Provenzano - The pro man. Does cool stuff with quantum noise in semiconductor lasers.
• Matt McAdams - I share an office with him, but I never see him around.
• William Marshall - He's really gone all out and has a cool web page.
• Roger G.M.P. Koumans - Roger definitely needs to meet more women.
• Yuanjian Xu - He just graduated last year so he doesn't work in the lab anymore.
• Chuan-Cheng Cheng - Doesn't work for the same professor but I do some work stuff with him every now and then.
• Prof. Axel Scherer - He's like a second advisor. Cool guy to work with/for and really laid back.
• Prof. Amnon Yariv - The boss.
