Finances on the Net
ok, here are some links to financial information that I have on the net.
These are getting old as I haven't checked or updated them in more than
a year or so.
- Altamira Mutual Fund homepage
: Some daily close mutual fund data plus other financial information.
-
Altamira Historical Data: Historical graphs of mutual fund prices.
Not from Altamira but compiled by some kind soul at the University
of Western Ontario.
-
DRIP page: Information on corporate dividend reinvestment plans.
- Edgar Database:
An information database containing Securities Exchange Commision (SEC)
electronic filings.
- Foreign exchange:
An electronic service giving daily exchange between any two
currencies worldwide.

for Canadian-to-US rates. This might be a bit slow because it comes
from Sweden. Here's also a (faster) listing of Federal Reserve Bank
exchange rates daily at
noon and at
10 am EST. Or use the
Global currency converter.
- Greenline investment Services
: Haven't looked what's here yet.
- Interquote Ltd.: Stock quoting
service that requires you to register and pay $$$. Gives 15 minute
delay quotes from several exchanges.
- MIT stock market data page
: Limited stock quotes from NYSE, NASDAQ but with historical data.
Brought to you by the MIT Artificial Intelligence lab, or at least
someone who works there.
-
SECAPL daily stock quote server: Stock quotes from NYSE, ASE,
NASDAQ, TSE, MSE, VSE and any others that I can think of. Supposed
to carry 15 minute delay quotes but you'll have trouble getting
access during business hours because of the load.
- Quote.com: Another stock quoting
service that I don't know much about.
-
Yahoo corp.: A relatively good listing of many investment related
web pages out in cyberspace.
- Networth (by Galt Technologies)
A lot of good stuff on mutual funds. Also some information about
stocks.
-
NestEgg Magazine A magazine marketed as for "high-net-worth
individuals" but even for people of modest means it has some
interesting personal finance articles.
- Interfinance
Great Web page for international finance and companies seeking or
having venture capital overseas.
- Worth
Magazine Selected articles from Worth Magazine, published by
Fidelity Investments. Interesting, though I think the content is
uneven. Worth a look.
-
Moneywatch The lastest Moneywatch column from (I think) Business
Week. Comes out every business day.
- GNN Business Home
Page Global Network Navigator is an excellent place from which
to navigate the Internet. This is the URL of the business home page.
- Taxes Web Page
Comprehensive Web site on US tax information. Includes link to
IRS home page. Lot of stuff here.
- FinWeb
Maintained by Dr. James Garven of the University of Texas, contains
many links to academic finance sites and archives. Tends toward the
arcane but useful nonetheless.
- Business
Section of Electronic Newstand Links to tons of business-related
publications.
Oh, and here's a couple of other summary pages with financial links
(they don't seem to work at the moment but it might just be my connection)
I have others but I haven't the time to sort through them all right now.
