I am currently working as a
postdoctoral scholar in
Applied
Physics at
Caltech. I am a
member of Prof.
Harry A.
Atwater's group and pursuing
cutting edge research on a broad
range of topics spanning photovoltaics, plasmonics and
metamaterials.
I received my B.S., M.S., and
Ph.D. degrees in Physics from
the
Department of Physics in
Bilkent University,
Turkey in
2002, 2004, and 2008
respectively. During my Ph.D
thesis, I focused on design and
characterization metamaterials
at microwave frequencies under
the supervision of Prof.
Ekmel
Ozbay. Subwavelength resolution,
negative refractive index in
photonic crystals and hybrid
light emitting devices based on
organic polymers are among the
other research topics I studied
as a graduate student.
I
am a member of the professional
societies of OSA, APS, IEEE, and
SPIE. I am one of the
recipients of 2007 SPIE
Educational Scholarship.
